ZARA GLENDINNING
Zara Glendinning is a final-year Communication Design student at the Glasgow School of Art. She is interested in searching for archival material of all kinds, from IKEA catalogues to niche graphic ephemera. She is drawn to the nostalgic qualities of these materials and how they can resurface a past time. She enjoys designing publications and has an interest in the translation of graphic design to physical making.
With a love for textiles, she is always searching for ways that this can connect with graphic design, interested by this overlap in the two contrasting mediums of the physical and the digital.
'Scenes From The Living Room' is an outcome from these investigations, acting as a celebration of a catalogue no longer in print. It focuses on imagery from IKEA living rooms from the 1964 to 1996 catalogues.
